LIVE STUDY GROUP
For those students
that have begun or just completed the basic
four levels of RBTI training from Advanced
Ideals Institute (AII), they, each one, comes
to realize that RBTI is not just something
you can learn in an hour or two or even on
a weekend. No, it is not a subject that you
can listen and learn while commuting to the
office or working out at the health club. Yes,
Advanced Ideals Institute's students become
fully aware that in order to be effectively
skilled and competent in the use of RBTI, each
student must gain additional hands-on experience
under supervision in an educational and perceptive
setting. Dr. Reams, himself, often said that
RBTI training should be a minimum of a four
year-like college program. He knew the real
time required for the RBTI science to soak
into the thinking and reasoning process. He
was vitally aware of the unlearning many, especially
tradtionally trained, had to experience in
order to comprehend the real RBTI science.
With the completion
of the RBTI Level IV weekend, Advanced Ideals
Institute emphasizes that students have accomplished
only the basic four
Levels of RBTI theory and technique training.
These basic four
levels have not begun to provide the student "sufficient
cognitive experience" beyond seminar classroom
discussions of theory and technique and the individual
case studies discussed. Only as the student has
been able, on their own turf, to do testing,
analysis, recommendations and follow-up on a
limited basis, have they been able to "get
their feet wet," if you will, and experience
the reality of how RBTI works in the real world
outside the theory box. Advanced Ideals Institute
absolutely knows that students need additional "hands-on" training
with a more practical "clinic-like" "grand
rounds" flavor and setting. A setting that
will provide a comfortable but challenging environment
for more practical interaction, discussion, observation,
questions and interaction with Dr. Beddoe's user-friendly
methods of critique involving the real facts
and happening surrounding current cases of all
students taking part. This is the purpose of
participation in the Live Study Group and all
Advanced Ideals Institute's students are encouraged
to attend as many of these group meetings as
possible.
In addition to providing
vital, practical and hands-on training, the RBTI
Live Study Group also provides a way to prepare
RBTI students and practitioners for the newly
implemented Advanced Ideals Institute's RBTI Registry
and Certification program.
WHO
CAN PARTICIPATE?
The RBTI Live Study
Group is open to all Advanced Ideals Institute's
students who have:
- Completed
at least the Level III Seminar and;
- Have
been actively attempting to clinically
implement RBTI principles and techniques
with their clients.
WHAT
TO EXPECT DURING THE TWO DAYS?
The Live Study Group
will consist of a two day weekend in which students
will each bring working case files of at least
five and not more than fifteen of their ongoing
RBTI clients in their clinical practice (Please
be sure you obtain the permission of your clients
whose cases you are planning to discuss in the
Study Group).
These cases should include some of your most
challenging examples you are working with — it
is all about learning to "handle the numbers." All
cases should be fully documented from original
test data with all pertinent history, information
and program recommendations as well as all follow-up
tests and client response with adjusted recommendations.
Each participant is to be prepared to present
to the Live Study Group, as time will permit,
some or all of their cases during the two day
session. Each client presentation will be conducted,
as much as possible, to simulate reality as if
the client was being given a live consultation.
Input in the form of discussion, questions and
even challenges may come from fellow Group participants,
as well as the instructor and facilitator Dr.
Beddoe. The goal is to give each participant
a unique exposure to working with all types of
RBTI test data — "the numbers."
Be prepared for
a possible "pop quiz" at the beginning
of each day based on the type of information
that may appear on the Registry exam.
NOTE: Those Level
III students, who may have less than five cases
they are currently working with, are welcome
to participate also for the valuable education
this Live Study Group atmosphere extends. Everyone
present, vicariously and directly, will gain
clinic-like experience from the weekend event.
All those that have
attended always say that the Live Study Group
is the most valuable RBTI training they have
experienced.
HOW
MANY LIVE STUDY GROUP SESSIONS DO I NEED
TO ATTEND FOR CERTIFICATION?
That depends on
you and the level of expertise you desire.
The Live Study Group sessions will be scheduled
at regular intervals on an on-going basis,
because of the critical need for the students
to advance their working experience and expertise
with RBTI science, principles and techniques.
When the student finds that the Live Study
Group is not offering any challenge to their
RBTI knowledge, it would appear that this may
possibly be an indication that they would want
to consider taking the Registry exam if they
are interested in Certification.
As in all advanced
professional programs, there will be requirements
to continue to maintain your certification
standing. In other words, each RBTI practitioner
that becomes Certified through Advanced Ideals
Institute Registry and Certification Program,
will be required to attend additional hours
of Live Study Group continuing educational
training to maintain their AII Certification
and remain in Advanced Ideals Institute's Registry
of referral testers.
