|
PLEASE
NOTE: If
you are seeking answers to more technical questions
about the science of RBTI, you will need to consult Dr.
Beddoe's textbooks.
Frequently
Asked Questions:
What
is RBTI?
RBTI is
the abbreviated term for Reams' Biological
Theory of Ionization. RBTI is a working
explanation of the fundamental ionic
energy composition and function of biological
life. This theory was discovered, developed
and proven through the unique work of
agronomist, biochemist and mathematician
Dr. Carey A. Reams beginning in the 1930s.
What
is RBTI testing?
RBTI
testing is a non-invasive seven-part
test completed on fresh samples of urine
and saliva. There are six tests done
on the urine sample: total carbohydrate,
pH, conductivity, cell debris, nitrate
nitrogen & ammonia nitrogen. There
is one test done on the saliva sample,
which is the pH.
The test results, when representing perfect
health, would look like the numbers in
the figure above. Note: To be valid and
individualized, the test results must
be accompanied by at least the gender,
age, height and weight of the individual.
How
long will it take to run the tests?
It will
usually take between 10 to 15 minutes
to run the seven tests. Running the
tests is not what takes the time.
What takes the time and expertise
is interpreting the test data correctly,
followed with establishing individualized
recommendations and providing a detailed
explanation to the client. Be sure
to ask questions for clarity!
Why
is the RBTI analysis so valuable?
It is a true real-time mathematical
analysis of what is taking place
within the electro-biochemical structure
of the human body's cells,
tissues and organs. It reveals the
intricate cause and effect of the
physiological dysfunctional patterns
demonstrated through the urine and
saliva analysis. The individual,
being analyzed, may or may not be
aware of the dysfunctions that
the tests may demonstrate.
More importantly, the RBTI analysis
will reveal a perfect life-style program
each individual must follow to reverse
the dysfunctional patterns that RBTI
has disclosed. For example, the analysis
reveals:
- How
much water to consume, when
and why;
- What
juices, teas and herbs to
use and which to avoid, when
and why;
- What
foods to use along with how
they are to be prepared,
when and why;
- What
foods to eliminate or avoid,
when and why;
- What
type of mineral supplements
to use and which to avoid,
when and why;
- What
type of vitamins and enzymes
to use and which to avoid,
when and why;
- What
type of ancillary therapy
(colonics, exercise, rest,
sunlight, chiropractics,
etc.) to use and which to
avoid, when and why.

Is
RBTI used to treat illness?
RBTI is not for diagnosing or
treating medical illness. If you are
seeking diagnosis and treatment for a
medical condition you need to seek the
services of a licensed medical doctor
for that.
The purpose of RBTI is to analyze and
identify previously unrecognized electro-biochemical
dysfunctions, taking place within the
human body, thereby allowing the creation
of a perfect set of personal life-style
recommendations that will address and
reverse those unrecognized dysfunctional
patterns. RBTI, when correctly applied,
offers the highest potential for perfect
health.
How
often should one be tested?
This depends on the analysis
of the test results. If the analysis
reveals severe dysfunctional patterns
you may have to return for more frequent
re-evaluations, even as much as once
or twice per week. If the analysis
reveals a need for a general tune-up
only, indicating minor changes, then
one may not be scheduled to return
for several weeks after implementing
their personal RBTI lifestyle program.
The determination for how frequently
one is analyzed depends totally on
the information the test reveals that
being unique for each individual.
Can
a person do some of the tests at home?
It is
certainly possible that your RBTI analyst
may have you do some tests at home
in between the testing they do. For
example, your RBTI analyst may have
you keep a pH diary, at home, to help
establish how much your pH is fluctuating
during the day or night. Your analyst
will supply you with the necessary
pH test strips and instructions. It
is also possible that your analyst
may have you do some urine carbohydrate
testing, at home, using a refractometer.
Although this is less common than the
home pH testing, nevertheless, it is
a test that can be done by you to help
the analyst determine the best set
of recommendations.
Do
RBTI analysts use other tests?
The RBTI test, as stated earlier,
consists of seven noninvasive tests
done on a fresh sample of urine and
saliva. There are no other tests that
are done on the urine and saliva samples.
Blood testing is not a part of the
RBTI tests. It is very common, however,
to have all your vital signs, such
as blood pressure, temperature, pulse
and respiration, determined by the
RBTI health professional.
Can
one bring their urine and saliva sample
from home?
Once a sample of urine is voided,
there is only a small window of time
during which the tests can be performed
and still be accurate. Thus, it is
not recommended that one bring their
urine and saliva samples from home.
What
type of program will the RBTI analyst
recommend?
All programs are unique and
individualized because no two people
will have the same test results. All
programs do contain recommendations
that may touch all aspects of each
person’s life-style. What is
a life-style? A life-style involves
every aspect of ones living habits,
and can best be described as comprising: all
that you eat, breathe, drink, think
and do. Remember, wellness involves
more than food and drink, since true
wellness involves wholeness, even one’s
state of mind.
Are
there any special instructions one needs
before they submit a urine and saliva
sample for testing?
Yes, there are some important
instructions that need to be followed
to assure that the tests are as accurate
as possible.
- Make
sure that you have had nothing
to eat 90 minutes before
obtaining your urine and
saliva samples.
- Avoid
all gum, candy or breath
mints in your mouth 90 minutes
before obtaining your saliva
sample.
- Avoid
driving long distances to
the destination where you
are being tested. If you
need to travel any extensive
(more than nearby) distance
before being tested, go the
day before and stay in a
motel so that you are rested.
Holding urine in the bladder
for too long can affect the
tests accuracy, as well.
- Do
not change your life-style
routine before being tested.
For example, if you take
food supplements, continue
to take them. If you take
medications, continue to
take them. In other words,
adhere to your regular patterns
of lifestyle, including all
eating, drinking and exercising
etc. before being tested.
- Do
not fast before being tested.
Eat your regular meals at
the regular times, as you
are accustomed.
- The
purpose of these instructions
is to make sure that your
body is under its typical
daily lifestyle load and
routine, reflecting all causes
and their effects, for better
or worse, to be revealed
through the test analysis.

How
long will one be on the RBTI
program?
The RBTI program addresses a “whole” life-style.
It is not just a quick fix. The cause
of all the dysfunctional and degenerative
patterns, that the RBTI analysis reveals,
is a result of life-style habits causing
the body to miss receiving vital food
mineral energy and thus depleting its
reserve-mineral energy too fast. In other
words, the body is aging too rapidly.
However, the body is able, with proper
care and feeding, to reverse these health-destroying
dysfunctions that may be taking place,
through the proper application of RBTI
principles and techniques. However, if
one does not continue to follow their
RBTI recommendations on an ongoing basis,
the probability of the dysfunctional
chemistry, continuing or reoccurring,
is very real. It is up to the individual
to determine how important it is to live
and be well.
What
if one does not return for follow-up
tests?
It is vital that one follow
their analyst’s recommendations
for retesting. The analysis reveals
how closely the chemistry must be monitored
for the best results. One set of recommendations
from one test will not reverse a lifetime
of dysfunction. Getting one analysis
and program recommendation, without
the proper follow-up, is absolutely
not recommended. The only way RBTI
will accomplish health and wellness
is with commitment, cooperation and
follow-through of the individual with
the health professional.
Is
there an RBTI tester in my area? Advanced
Ideals Institute has been in the process
of conducting training seminars, since
2005, in order to create a network of
skilled and experienced RBTI tester/practitioners.
The training process can be lengthy depending
on how much time each student is able
to spend in the required seminars, outside
study/homework, live study groups and
actual practice of the technology. Because
our students come from many backgrounds
and most are already occupied in a fulltime
skill or profession, their RBTI training
has to be part time. This fact has served
to lengthen the training process for
most students and slowed the development
of Advanced Ideals’ desired certified
tester/practitioner network.
Having experienced this challenge, in developing a certified RBTI tester/practitioner
network, Advanced Ideals Institute has decided to create a new referral program
that provides additional RBTI educational and training opportunities for its
students, as well as offering RBTI testing services for those who are seeking
help through RBTI health and diet technology. We are calling this additional
program, the “Enrolled Student Tester Referral
Program.” While Advanced Ideals
Institute will continue to maintain its Registry
and Certification Program, the
enrolled student tester program is designed to fill an interim gap in the process
towards full registration/ certification. Once an RBTI student tester is fully
certified they will be listed as completed in Advanced Ideals Institute's Registry. **(There
has never before been a certification program for RBTI testers/counselors prior
to this one being offered through Advanced Ideals Institute.) However, the
Enrolled Student Tester Referral Program is an interim program to provide greater
RBTI training experience, while meeting the increasing demand for applied RBTI
health technology from the more informed public.
Here is how the program will work. Advanced Ideals Institute has established
a minimum training level that its students must have achieved in order to participate
in this referral program. In addition, the student must submit an ENROLLED STUDENT
TESTER’S RELEASE OF LIABILITY form to Advanced Ideals Institute. Once the student
has become “enrolled” in the referral program, their name and contact information
will be entered into a referral database. When Advanced Ideals Institute receives
an AGREEMENT FOR RELEASE OF LIABILITY from someone seeking to be referred to
one of Advanced Ideals’ enrolled student testers, Advanced Ideals Institute will
process the form and then e-mail (information will be snail-mailed if no e-mail
address given) the contact information of an enrolled student tester closest
to them. It will then be up to the individual, seeking to be tested, to make
contact with the enrolled student tester and set-up the appropriate arrangements
for an appointment. It will be up to the enrolled student tester to determine
how they want to conduct their testing and counseling services.
PLEASE NOTE: Advanced Ideals Institute does not take responsibility for
what takes place between the enrolled student tester and the person seeking RBTI
testing services as demonstrated in the release of liability forms that both
the student tester and the person seeking testing services submitted to Advanced
Ideals Institute in order to participate. Advanced Ideals Institute will maintain
a database of those who have sought referral through our tester referral program,
and that database will be the private property of Advanced Ideals Institute and
will not be used, sold or released for any commercial purposes.
For those seeking to be tested where there is no student tester available in
your area, you can take a significant personal step for your health with RBTI
through purchase of The Calcium Kit. We would highly recommend
to you the very helpful, “at-home” do-it-yourself information contained therein. The
Calcium Kit addresses the pH, which is the key first step in addressing
the most important major mineral in body chemistry — calcium.
What
is the best way to learn the science
and application of RBTI ?
The best way to begin your study
of RBTI, as applied to human health,
is to obtain a copy of Dr. Beddoe's
new 2008 RBTI
e-Textbook edition
on RBTI
as it is applied to human body chemistry (Biologic
Ionization as Applied to Human Nutrition,
2008 e-Text).
The study of the first 10 chapters
prepares you to attend an RBTI Level
I seminar. Since the laws of the
science of RBTI are universal, and
thus apply to the electrochemistry
of soil, plants, animals, as well
as humans, Dr. Beddoe also recommends
the reading and study of the first
five to six chapters of Dr. Beddoe's
backyard garden book on RBTI, Nourishment
Home Grown in preparation
for attending the series of human
seminars as well. The companion RBTI
ag text Biologic
Ionization as Applied to Farm and
Soil Management is replete
in covering a more in-depth study
of RBTI soil and plant science. RBTI
soil and plant laws and principles
are often experienced as versions,
of these same laws and principles
RBTI, in a simpler format. Many students
have expressed how an understanding
of the basic RBTI soil and plant
concepts greatly enhanced, and made
easier, their understanding of the
human application..
After
the completion of a Level I seminar,
Dr. Beddoe recommends a reading and
study of the rest of the human text
to prepare for RBTI Level II. To
finish learning your basic hows and
whys of RBTI you must prepare and
attend RBTI Level III and IV. Once
you have accomplished Levels I through
IV, you will have only completed
the RBTI basics.
To
go beyond the basics and help yourself
in gaining real-time RBTI experience,
Advanced Ideals Institute offers
participation in its Online
Student Forum as well as its Live
Study Groups.
Can
I learn RBTI without attending
RBTI Seminars?
We
believe that if one is serious
about learning RBTI for any
reason, there is no substitute
for attending Advanced Ideals
Institute's RBTI Basic Seminars
and Live Study Groups. RBTI
is not a science to be taken
lightly. It is complex and
takes serious study, but is
very learnable for the individual
dedicated to that end. Be aware
of the blind leading the blind
when it comes to learning RBTI.
Since there never has been
a formal instructor certification
procedure, anyone can claim
to be an RBTI instructor as
well as claim association with
Dr. Reams as though that makes
them a qualified RBTI mentor.
RBTI is a science and is not
opinion-driven. No amount of
discussion among untrained
individuals can arrive at correct
and factual answers. For example,
2 + 2 is 4 --- no amount of
discussion and opinion can
change that fact --- so it
is with learning the science
of RBTI. In addition, please
see additional response below.
Is
there a correspondence course
to learn RBTI?
Advanced
Ideals Institute believes
that the in-depth and exacting
science of RBTI must be
and can only be taught
correctly in a live seminar
environment.
Why
is Advanced Ideals Institute
the best place to study
and learn RBTI?
Dr.
Beddoe studied directly
with Dr. Carey Reams
over a 10 year period
until Reams' death
in 1985. Dr. Beddoe
completed both manuscripts
of his textbooks on
RBTI applications in
agriculture soil-plant
chemistry and human
chemistry, which Dr.
Reams reviewed and
approved between 1984
and his death. Dr.
Reams personally acknowledged
and approved these
textbooks written by
Dr. Beddoe and referred
to them as "a
stroke of genius."
Reams also considered
Dr. Beddoe as the
only one of his students
capable of properly
carrying on his work.
This is substantiated
in a letter Dr. Reams
wrote to Dr. Beddoe
before his passing.
In that 1985 letter
Reams stated: "I
feel like you are
the only one who
has the ability to
do the job well.
Christ had eleven
dependable disciples.
I have only one.
Please take up the
mantle where I lay
it down. I am not
laying it down willingly… Your
letter was a blessing
to me. May God bless
you until we meet
again."
When
you choose to be
trained in RBTI through
Advanced Ideals Institute,
you are choosing
to participate in
the best RBTI training
possible theoretical
and clinical Dr.
Beddoe incorporates
his detailed training
with Dr. Reams along
with his over 25
years of RBTI clinical
experience.
Can
I send my urine
and saliva samples
through the mail
to be tested?
The urine and saliva
samples must be
no more than 90
minutes old, i.e.
fresh samples.
Typical medical
laboratory methods
of preserving urine
samples for medical
lab testing do
not work for urine
that is going to
be used for RBTI
testing.
Can
you tell me what
the following symptoms
mean?
If you are seeking
to have symptoms
evaluated, i.e.
diagnosed, or treated,
please make an
appointment with
your licensed medical
doctor. RBTI counselors
address the individual's
body chemistry.
RBTI counselors
do not diagnose
(evaluate) or treat
symptoms or named
diseases. RBTI
is an exact mathematical
science for understanding
ideal dietary and
lifestyle requirements
in order for each
unique individual
to obtain the most
perfect health
possible through
following an individualized
program, designed
by the RBTI counselor,
based on the RBTI
test results.
Where
are your seminars taught?
Beginning
in 2007 all new Human RBTI Level I, II,
III & IV seminars will be held in
Santa Barbara, California. There is only
one exception to this. The current ongoing
Human series of seminars, begun in Cleveland,
Ohio, in 2006, will be completed in Cleveland
in 2007.
Can
you come to our town to teach your
seminars?
Beginning in 2007 all new RBTI seminars
will be held in Santa Barbara, California
(our home base) except for the Cleveland,
Ohio series already explained above.
The amount of traveling and time
required to conduct series of seminars
in other locations of the U.S. is
now prohibitive for Advanced Ideals
Institute to offer due to the increasing
numbers of participants in our programs
and requests of our services.
Does
The Calcium Kit give me the ability
to do the whole RBTI evaluation myself?
The Calcium Kit is designed
to test the urine and saliva pH
only. It is only designed to show
how to use the urine and saliva
pH to determine which types of
calciums are best for each individual's
chemistry. The Calcium Kit does
not allow for a complete RBTI evaluation.
It is a very significant first
step in addressing perfect health
and we highly recommend taking
this step.
What
should I look for in an RBTI tester?
To
be assured that a tester thoroughly
understands RBTI principles and
techniques, Advanced Ideals Institute
implemented its Registry
and Certification Program.
The only way Advanced Ideals
Institute can assure that RBTI
testers are of the highest quality
is for those testers to complete
this Registry and Certification
Program.
However, Advanced Ideals Institute
does now offer a interim Enrolled
Student Tester Referral Program in
order to help meet the needs
of those who are seeking RBTI
testing services, and, at the
same time provide more experiencial
opportunities for students working
toward their certification.
I
had a urine and saliva test
done, can you tell me what
the numbers mean?
This
web site does not provide
individual consultation
services. If you want to
learn the What, How and
Why of RBTI we invite you
to become a student of
Advanced Ideals Institute.
As a student you would
have the opportunity to
subscribe to the Online
Forum and thereby have
access to ask questions
of Dr. Beddoe about your
unique RBTI chemistry needs.
Can
RBTI be combined with
other modalities?
It
can, providing that
RBTI is the basis for
determining whether
the other modality
is to be of value.
Here is what we mean.
To understand RBTI
properly, is to know
that it is the only
science that has mathematically
defined what perfect
health means in plants,
animals and humans.
It is the only science
that actually addresses
the real cause of dis-ease
through defining what
perfect health is.
RBTI goes way beyond
the "normal" health
that has been assumed
to be healthy. The
mathematical and frequency
parameters of RBTI
reveal many "normal" health
standards as dis-ease
standards. Thus, any
modality of health
evaluation or therapy,
no matter how natural,
if it does not reference
the perfect health
standards of cause
and effect established
by RBTI, that modality
is only addressing
effects and not causes.
To address only the
effect means that the
therapist is not going
beyond "normal" health
standards --- dis-ease.
Unless, a health therapist
truly understands and
applies RBTI correctly,
that therapist will
ever only address the
symptom of dis-ease
and and not the cause
no matter how "natural" the
modality.
I
am an RBTI tester.
Can I get help from
Dr. Beddoe with some
test numbers of a
client?
Because
of time constraints,
Dr. Beddoe is dedicated
to working only
with individuals
who have chosen
to take advantage
of Advanced Ideals
Institute's seminar
training. If you
would like to have
the privilege of
having Dr. Beddoe
assist you with
your RBTI tests,
it is necessary
that you become
a student of Advanced
Ideals Institute
which then enables
you to become a
member of the On-Line
Forum to receive
Dr. Beddoe's assistance.
Is
there software
available for
analyzing RBTI
numbers? WARNING! Do
not be fooled
by websites and
persons who claim
there are computer
programs available
to interpret
the RBTI test
numbers. There
are none!
Is
there any software
for analyzing
RBTI numbers?
No! (please
see NOTE
below) However,
there is
a recently
released "data" software
program simply
for assisting
testers with
RBTI data
management. Go
to Software
Page to
get an idea
of what this
software
is for.
